X-15 Class is the world’s first one-design wing racing equipment. Developed to emphasise equal opportunity for all participants, the X-15 Class is a new wave in the wingfoil racing world.

During the Scottish Fin and Foil Event in Stranraer Scotland, adults and under 19’s are invited to attend a 7 day event; 2 days of top level coaching followed by 5 days of racing. The coaching will be split into two groups one coached by Alex Lyddon and the other by Rafferty Read.

• The cost of the coaching is £tbc per day or £tbc for both days, the coaching fee includes X-15 equipment rental.

• X-15 equipment rental cost are included in the coaching fee. ​

• The race entry fee is £tbc for five days of racing (or £tbc including X-15 equipment rental); a two day weekend option is also available £tbc for two days (or £tbc including kit rental).

Wingfoilers do not need to have prior wingfoil race experience but should have a minimum wingfoil level with the ability to maintain foil control, sail upwind and be starting to complete transitions. The X15 class is new and we aim to get as many adult & junior and youth sailors involved as we can.

• Racing 5th to 9th August 2026  Loch Ryan Stranraer Scotland

• Coaching limited to 10 places. Race entry is not limited.

• £tbc entry fee for three days or £tbc for the weekend (to cover entry to Scottish Fin and Foil Race Event entry fee), plus £tbc for X-15 equipment rental.

• Join in the Scottish Fin and Foil event with social meet ups in the evenings and traditional Scottish Ceilidh dance on Saturday night (small extra fee applies)

• X-15 Equipment (Board, Foil, Wing) use included in the coaching fee. Equipment rental during racing is £tbc for the race event.

• Medals for top competitors in each gender class

• Coaching by top level coaches Rafferty Read and Alex Lyddon.
